Estero de Paco is one of the main sources of water that flow to the Ilog Pasig (Pasig River) which eventually reaches the Manila de Bay. Due to the waste that flow to the river, it has been in its crucial stage and it bothers the surrounding community and the government.
The rehabilitation of the river starts with the preservation of the small water bodies that contributes the contamination of the river.
Wastewater from the residents of the Pabahay sa Riles (Residential Housing) building flows to the Estero de Paco and then flows to the Pasig River. Concerned agencies such as MWCI and ABS-CBN Foundation funded the treatment of domestic wastewater from the establishment.
